The San Gabriel Valley Chapter of the APA offers a CPP Exam Study Group Course to prepare for the CPP Certification test. If you already have your CPP Certificate, you may join the Study Group to earn your RCH's and stay current on laws.
The Study Group will meet each year for 16 weeks between May and September, on Wednesday's from 5:00pm to 7:00pm, at a location to be determined. (Please note the time, day and place can be changed based on the members that join the CPP Study Group.) Why CPP Certified? Although payroll was originally considered a technical skill. A payroll professional must be proficient in all aspects of taxation and tax reporting, MIS, Human Resources (including benefits), and accounting as each of these relate to the payroll environment. Today's payroll professional function as members of a management team. The APA offers the Certified payroll professional (CPP) Examination to recognize those who have achieved this level of professional proficiency.
