My first job was working in a packaging plant for pharmaceuticals when I was 16 years old.  From there, the long term care pharmacy next door hired me to be a technician to type labels and service the unit dose trays and even make deliveries.  With my extensive experience in pharmacy, I moved on to a local community pharmacy serving the public.

After moving my family to Riverside, I took a job with another long-term care pharmacy as technician/office manager doing many tasks including payroll.  When the company closed that location, I obtained work with a medical insurance billing company.  Billing the Medicare and Medi-Cal programs for several types of providers, I gained much experience with computers and knowledge of medical terminology.  Again, one of my many tasks was working with the payroll for the company.

I have enjoyed the many experiences I have had throughout my life, but when I obtained my current position, it was like the heavens opened up and smiled on me.  I have been with Inter Valley Health Plan for almost 10 years now and have never been happier.  I was fortunate enough to pass the CPP exam in 2005 and am looking forward to many more years to come. 

The experiences and exchanges from my peers have been beneficial to my professional and personal accomplishments as well.
